Food For Famine Society, receives a $100,000 donation from the Super Save Group

Maria Martini (center), Executive Director and Founder of the Food For Famine Society, receives a $100,000 donation from the Super Save Group (left to right: Phil and Sylvie Vandekerkhove), at the Food For Famine Society’s Corporate Breakfast, October 15, 2012, which was held in honour of World Food Day.  The Society will apply 100% of this donation to the purchase of Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) for children suffering from Severe Acute Malnutrition.  Thanks to the Society’s partnership with World Vision, this product will be distributed via World Vision’s Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition programs in Africa.
